It’s hard to ignore the wave of nostalgia we’re all living in right now. Who would’ve thought that 23 years after The Lizzie McGuire Movie, Hilary Duff would be gearing up for a comeback tour or that Miranda Priestly and Andy Sachs would be back on our screens in 2026?
Or that Justin Bieber would headline Coachella with the same YouTube-era hits that made him famous, just weeks after Miley Cyrus step back into the Hannah Montana wig for the record breaking 20th anniversary special.
Across social media, one phrase keeps popping up: “this healed my younger self.” Nostalgia has always had a place in pop culture, but in 2026, it feels different, more urgent. Like we’re collectively craving simpler times, before the endless scroll and constant content overload.
So when we launched our Substack, we asked ourselves what this platform could mean for 260. At its core, it’s about connection. Creating space to engage with our community in a more thoughtful, intentional way. Think back to the blog era, when content felt thoughtful, personal, and meant to enjoy at a slower pace.
For the launch of The Deal Diaries, we leaned all the way in. A nod to simpler times: guitar hero competitions, inflatable furniture, pink Razr phones, and time spent with friends, offline.
Watching our community gather around the Chuco Collage activation & Sourced Studio Charm Bar, fully immersed, hands-on, and genuinely engaged, felt refreshing. People stayed, created, connected. They built their own diaries as something to take home, an offline escape that lasted beyond the night. Real-life moments, without the pressure of capturing the perfect post.
That’s the energy we want The Deal Diaries to carry forward. Think of it as a break from your IG and TikTok feeds, a place to slow down, look a little deeper, and connect with the 260 community and the brands behind the deals.
At 260, where we run up to 15 sample sales a week, we’re no strangers to the nonstop pace of everyday life. That’s exactly why we created The Deal Diaries, a space to slow down, even if just for a few minutes. Because maybe we all need a few more notes of nostalgia in our lives.
We spill the tea, you score the deals—welcome to The Deal Diaries by 260.
Thanks so much for being here
